From 22nd August to 26th August 2024, IIMT students attended the SPICMACAY State Convention in Dehradun. Over three days, they experienced Indian classical arts, including a mesmerizing Kathak performance by Pandit Deepak Maharaj a spiritual Mohan Veena experience by Pt. Vishv Mohan Bhatt, The captivating and ethereal voices of Padma Bhushan Vid. Sudha Raghunathan, a Carnatic vocal virtuoso, and Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee Vid. Parvathy Baul, Daily yoga sessions with Yogi Siddartha introduced students to the magical world of yoga and yog nidra. They also participated in workshops like theatre, Bharatnatyam dance, Hindustani vocal, traditional Gaund painting and more creative classical art forms. This cultural odyssey not only exposed the IIMT students to the hidden depths of Indian classical arts but also equipped them with valuable life skills. They gained insights into time management, stage management, teamwork, and event management. For many students, it was their first-ever journey on Indian railways and first visit to the capital city Dehradun, adding another layer of adventure to their experience. Since inception, IIMT has focused on delivering practical, high-outcome hotel management training to students from rural and semi-urban Kumaon regions. The IIMT Haldwani, situated in the lush green district of Nainital, Uttarakhand, has been awarded as the Best Training Institute of the Region for the year 2023-2024. The award was based on a survey conducted by Three Fingers International Ltd. The nominee institutes were asked to share a list of 200 candidates working in the industry, especially in the post-COVID era. Human Resource Managers were approached to evaluate the current performance and skill sets of these candidates. Based on this survey and verification, only five top institutes were identified for the final round out of 115 nominations. After further evaluation and filtration, THE IIMT Haldwani emerged at the top. Founder Sarthak Arora and MD Mrs. Meenakshi Arora received the award from the famous Bollywood star Esha Deol in Jaipur. Sarthak Arora dedicated the award to the entire team of THE IIMT. This milestone and recognition will inspire them to propel to the next level of excellence.
